Having A Working GMoU Will End Disputes Between Oil Companies And Host Communities ~ Okowa

Ughelli-------------------   Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has stated that a working Global Memorandum of Understanding (GMoU) will end disputes between oil companies and their hosts communities in the state.

Okowa made this known on Thursday while signing the Global Memorandum of Understanding between Chevron Nigeria Limited and their hosts communities under the auspices of Egbema and Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation at the Government House Annex, Warri.

Okowa represented by Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Prince Emman Amgbaduba thanked the host communities for being peaceful to their tenants, CNL stressing that since assumption of office, there is little or no petition from their agreements. He attributed it to a very good working relationship. He advised that they continue this cooperation.
